The Challenge Initiative (TCI) is a co-funded and co-managed program with the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health. It aims to reduce teenage pregnancies by promoting positive health-seeking behavior and improving access to family planning programs.

The Deputy Chief of Party will assist in compliance management in terms of the work plan among staff, overseeing budget, and ensuring quality knowledge management. S/He must monitor milestones, ensure quality of training and coaching, and diffusion of project’s knowledge and lessons learned to internal and external stakeholders.

Together with the Chief of Party, the Deputy must oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of TCI’s hub in the Philippines. S/He must ensure that project activities and operations are implemented and executed in a manner that will allow them to achieve their goals.

The deputy will work closely with the mentoring and evaluation expert, learning and development expert, the city technical lead, and the TCI program manager in Gates Institute, to create, implement and oversee systems for monitoring and evaluation, and to ensure the program is on track and within budget.
